Directions / Maps:
From Austin, TX:
Take either Hwy 71 or Hwy 29 west to Llano (approx. 70 miles). Then take Hwy 16 north for approximately 18 miles. We are located on Hwy 16 and FM 501 in Southern San Saba County. This drive can take 1 to 2 hours depending on where in Austin you start and how much traffic you find leaving there. No matter the time on the road, it is a gorgeous drive!
From San Antonio, TX:
Take either Hwy 281 or IH-10 north from town.
From Hwy 281, travel north past Johnson City to Hwy 71. Take that west to Llano, then take Hwy 16 north approx. 18 miles.
From IH-10, travel north to Comfort, then take Hwy 87 north to Fredericksburg. From there, take Hwy 16 north past Llano to Cherokee.
Either route is scenic, and takes approximately 2 hours (sometimes more if there's traffic leaving San Antonio).
From Dallas/Fort Worth, TX:
Go south on the road of your choice! It'll take 3+ hours to reach us, but it'll be worth it! The quickest route (depending on where you leave from) is probably to go west from the Metroplex and take either Hwy 281 or Hwy 16 south. Then it should be easy to find us. We are on Hwy 16 in southern San Saba County, which is west of Hwy 281.

Nearby, you'll also find a beautiful state park. It is east of Cherokee on FM 501. Visit us whenever you go to Colorado Bend State Park.
